Anger Management

Worry often stems from good intentions—wanting to be a good partner, friend, or parent, or to excel in your career. However, it becomes harmful when we overthink the things that matter most to us and assume the worst possible outcomes. Anxiety is a form of worry that significantly disrupts one’s quality of life and can become so intense that it leads to panic.

If you find yourself constantly worrying about the future, stressing over others’ opinions, feeling overwhelmed by decisions, or struck by panic or fear, you may be experiencing anxiety. It can cause you to dwell on negative thoughts and imagine worst-case scenarios. Anxiety occurs when the brain becomes stuck in the ‘fight, flight, or freeze’ mode—an automatic response designed to help us manage physical threats. The challenge arises when an anxious mind continually perceives or anticipates potential dangers, even when none are present. Common symptoms include muscle tension, trembling, shortness of breath, sweating, an upset stomach, a racing heart, or even panic attacks. There are many factors that can contribute to anxiety.
